Seven Drunken Nights

When: Thursday, 25 July at 7.30pm

The Smash Hit Celebration of The Dubliners is set to bring the Craic to Australia!

Representing a direct transfer from the West End and successful global tours, Seven Drunken Nights – The Story of the Dubliners marks its Australian premiere. In collaboration with Tourism Ireland and in affiliation with the renowned Irish pub O’Donoghue’s, Seven Drunken Nights narrates the story of a 50-year career, channeling the essence of Ronnie Drew, Luke Kelly, Barney McKenna, John Sheahan, Ciaran Bourke, and Jim McCann.

Going beyond a mere jukebox musical tribute to The Dubliners, the production features Ged Graham, the charismatic writer, and director, who engagingly ushers the audience through the group’s fascinating journey, punctuated by exceptional renditions of their beloved classics like The Irish Rover, The Leaving of Liverpool, Belle of Belfast City, Dirty Old Town, The Banks of the Rose, Star of the County Down, and The Town I Love So Well.

The immensely skilled ensemble of musicians and vocalists revives the music of this legendary group, crafting the definitive feel-good Irish performance.

Celtic Illusion

When: Friday, 26 July at 7.30pm

Audiences can immerse themselves in the Irish Dance and Grand Illusion sensation that has captivated Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Canada, and the USA as it embarks on its nationwide 2024 tour. The unmissable Celtic Illusion promises to elevate the bar yet again, attracting even those who have previously experienced the show.

This breathtaking production continues to push boundaries by blending exceptional art forms and delivering an even more spectacular experience. With fresh enchanting illusions, mesmerizing music, and choreography, Celtic Illusion guarantees an awe-inspiring night of family entertainment.

The Grandparents Club – A Comedy Musical

When: Saturday, 27 July 2024 at 3pm and 7pm

Introducing a show that honors the essence of Grandparenthood! Entertaining for 90 minutes, it’s a delightful blend of humor and heartfelt authenticity. Penned by the renowned comedy figure Wendy Harmer and accompanied by toe-tapping, sing-a-long music from John Field, this production captures the true essence of the grand life.

Lynne McGranger (Home and Away), Wayne Scott Kermond, Andrew James, and Meredith O’Reilly take center stage in a whirlwind of stand-up, send-up, and song, sharing their hearts, stories, and mishaps over coffee or perhaps a gin in the well-known Grandparents Club. All Grands and Great Grands are warmly invited, as everyone is part of this Club together!

Grigoryan Brothers – ‘This is Us’

When: Saturday, 3 August at 7.30pm

Renowned guitarists Slava and Leonard Grigoryan have composed a series of music pieces inspired by personally selected objects from the National Museum of Australia’s extensive collection, which spans Australia’s rich and intricate history. The emotional depth of each of the 18 compositions is amplified by the presentation of a high-definition 3D video showcasing the relevant object, creating a palpable impact on the audience.

Incorporating influences from classical to jazz and contemporary music, the Grigoryan Brothers perform on a range of guitars including electric, 8-string tenor ukulele, 12-string, and classical guitars, offering audiences a unique experience of their musical prowess.

Slava & Leonard Grigoryan expressed, “We chose objects that try to represent some of our First Nations’ history as well as colonisation, migration, innovation and stories of love and loss. We were deeply moved by all of them.”

Essendon Symphony Orchestra – The Music of John Williams

When: Sunday, 4 August at 2.30pm

John Williams, the composer behind many beloved themes from the past 50 years including those from Jurassic Park, ET, Superman, Schindler’s List, Jaws, Raiders, and numerous Star Wars compositions, is celebrated for his iconic works. The orchestra, particularly the brass section, eagerly anticipates performing this repertoire brimming with fun and exhilarating music.

Audiences are invited to partake in this one-hour concert that promises entertainment for the whole family. 

An Evening with… Katie Noonan

When: Saturday, 24 August at 7.30pm

One of Australia’s most hardworking, versatile, and prolific artists, the five-time ARIA award-winner Katie Noonan, is set to collaborate with one of Australia’s top concert bands, the Western Region Concert Band, for a special one-night performance at the Clocktower Centre.

Heralded as one of the greatest Australian singers of all time by the Herald Sun, Katie Noonan has amassed a remarkable career, producing 21 studio albums and achieving seven times platinum record sales. Her 27 ARIA award nominations span diverse genres, and she has left her mark by performing for royalty, national and international leaders, while also paving the way for young women artists. For Katie, music represents a lifelong lesson, a generous act of giving, and a means to change the world.

The Western Region Concert Band has a history of successful collaborations with international artists, including Leo Sayer, James Morrison, Christine Anu, Tripod, Silvie Paladino, and many more, making the partnership with Katie Noonan a highly anticipated event.

The Tap Pack

When: Wednesday, 28 August 2024 at 7.30pm

After achieving sold-out performances and receiving enthusiastic reviews on London’s West End, at Sydney Opera House, and across the globe, The Tap Pack, Australia’s renowned tap dance sensation, is set to dazzle audiences at the Clocktower Centre!

Paying homage to the legacy of The Rat Pack, The Tap Pack introduces a contemporary flair to the crooners and artists from the 1950s to the present day! Their repertoire includes hits from iconic artists such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr, Ed Sheeran, Michael Bublé, and Beyoncé.

With a blend of sharp wit, dynamic entertainment, and top-tier tap dancing skills, The Tap Pack delivers a performance filled with pure entertainment inspired by the legendary swing artists of bygone eras. This refreshing take on classic tunes offers a modern twist on cool classics, including favorites like “The Lady Is a Tramp,” “Come Fly with Me,” “One For My Baby,” “Me And My Shadow,” and more.
