An all-star collaborative trio of award-winning virtuoso jazz instrumentalists comes to the Clocktower Jazz Cafe. Double Bassist and Moonee Valley local Sam Anning is a multiple ARIA-nominated jazz musician, regularly performing with jazz greats such as the late Allan Browne, Barney McAll, Andrea Keller, Aaron Choulai, Paul Grabowsky, and Jamie Oehlers.
After completing a Masters of Music at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music, Anning relocated to New York City, quickly becoming an in-demand bassist in one of the world’s most competitive cities.
Anning has toured extensively throughout North America and internationally, with performances at the Montreal, Vancouver, Detroit, Jazz a Vienne, Copenhagen, Port au Prince, and Panama Jazz Festivals.
He has been fortunate to perform with Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Ari Hoenig, George Garzone, and Charlie Haden, among many others.
